Vaclav Elias

Born 1958 in Czechoslovakia. Moved to Germany in 1969 and to Lucerne in 1972. 1974-1978: Dental technician training. 1979-1985: ‘Stadttheater’ Lucerne: Training in the decoration workshops. Trained as a painter and sculptor at the ‘Kunstseminar’ Lucerne with Prof. Radoslav Kutra. 1985-1995: Employed at the decoration workshops of the ‘Stadttheater’ St. Gallen. He also had various jobs as freelance stage designer in St. Gallen, Lucerne and Munich. Since 1995: Freelance designer in the areas of advertising, theatre and interior decoration. Main focuses: Illusion painting, fresco and other new and old painting techniques. Using papier mâché, polyester, plaster etc. to create figures. Organizing exhibitions and rooms. Since 2009: Course tutor with Art Teams. Various exhibitions at home and abroad.
